If a bar learns that its customers tend to order Patrón margaritas or Grey Goose martinis more than other drinks, those bottles will inevitably end up on a lower shelf where they can be grabbed the quickest, regardless of which “shelf” brand managers prefer they live on. Has allowed me to put some things up high and out of the way but without making them inaccessible like they would be in an attic. All in all, this has proven to be a great addition to the garage. I like the pin being there as an additional safety feature. The rack stops at the pin, then I think 'Oh yeah - the pin', pull it out and carry on. Occasionally I forget to remove the safety pin before I lower the rack down, but that is no big deal. Way easier than getting on top of a ladder and trying not to fall off as you hand the box of (whatever) to your wife/neighbor standing at the bottom of the ladder. I just make sure the path is clear underneath, remove the safety pin from the vertical track, and use the controller to raise/lower the rack. The thing I like best is the ease of getting items up and down.

Did the install and it went together easily. I like the way you can plug different storage items (cargo rack, bike rack, anything with a 2' draw bar really) and so I went with the 'Cargo Rack' which I think is best for my needs. I got the Top Shelf system a few months ago to provide a little more flexible way of storing items in my garage.
